Hammond 1481WDH1612 10 x 3 in Viewing Area Deep Hinged Window Kit

The 1481WDH1612 is a 1481WDH Series deep hinged window kit that puts a narrow 10.00 x 2.75 in window over equipment installed inside an enclosure. It lets operators and maintenance staff see the equipment inside without opening the enclosure, while the hinged door keeps components protected and easy to reach. Hammond lists it as an N4 deep hinged window door kit in steel/gray.

The frame is 14 gauge mild steel finished in ANSI 61 gray recoatable powder, and the window is 0.25 in thick, UV resistant polycarbonate. This painted steel version carries UL/CSA Type 12 and Type 4 ratings and maintains the Type 4 and 12 protection level of the enclosure; the 316 stainless steel equivalent, 1481WSSDH1612, adds Type 4X.

Overall dimensions are 14.19 x 8.14 in (360 x 207 mm), with a listed size of 14.2 in x 8.2 in x 2.75 in (361 mm x 208 mm x 70 mm). The viewing area is 10.00 x 2.75 in (254 x 70 mm) and the kit accepts a maximum cut-out of 11.19 x 5.14 in (284 x 131 mm). The deep design provides 2.5 inches of extra usable depth behind the door. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

A quarter turn latch gives quick access, an oil resistant neoprene gasket ensures a watertight seal, and the hinges can be oriented in any direction. Mounting hardware and a template are included (the drawing shows a back-view drilling template with 0.28 in holes). The kit is sized to mount on the door of any Hammond Wallmount Series enclosure, or on any other Hammond enclosure with a suitable mounting surface.
