The 1457T1602 is a wide, wall-mountable watertight enclosure from the 1457 Series. Flanged diecast end panels let installers fix it to walls or equipment, while the 6.3 in x 6.51 in x 2.15 in (160 mm x 165 mm x 55 mm) extruded aluminum body houses square PC boards. It is designed to meet IP65.
The body is one piece of extruded aluminum 6063 in clear anodized, with a 0.06" (1.5 mm) minimum thickness. End panels are Type 380 diecast aluminum with black powder paint, sealed by full perimeter self-adhesive gaskets.
According to the drawing, the enclosure is 191.97 mm (7.558 in) long across the mounting flanges and 171.15 mm across the end panels. Inside it offers 160.00 mm face to face, 161.00 mm width and 48.00 mm height. Boards slide horizontally into extruded slots, up to 159 mm x 159 mm per the part page; the drawing notes it fits a 160 mm x 160 mm PCB.
Supplied with the box, flanged end panels, #6 Taptight screws with O-rings, self-adhesive rubber feet and gaskets. The screws are black zinc plated to ASTM B633-13 (96 hour salt spray Type II, SC3), with a recommended torque of 5 lbf/in. A 0.75 mm recess on the body takes labels or a membrane keypad.
