The 1457T1601 is a wide-format watertight enclosure in the 1457 Series, sized for square circuit boards. Its extruded aluminum body measures 6.3 in x 6.51 in x 2.15 in (160 mm x 165 mm x 55 mm) and the enclosure is designed to meet IP65, making it a fit for OEM designers housing control boards or interfacing field equipment.
The single-piece extrusion is aluminum 6063 in a clear anodized finish, at least 0.06" (1.5 mm) thick. Type 380 diecast aluminum end panels in black powder paint close the ends and seal with full perimeter self-adhesive gaskets; they are easy to machine for connectors.
Boards mount horizontally in slots extruded into the body. The part page lists a maximum P.C. board size of 159 mm x 159 mm, and the drawing notes it fits a 160 mm (6.299") x 160 mm (6.299") PCB. Inside dimensions on the drawing are 160.00 mm face to face, 161.00 mm wide and 48.00 mm high; overall length across the end panels is 171.15 mm and overall width 168.46 mm.
This version has flat end panels with no flanges. The purchased assembly includes the box, end panels, #6 Taptight screws with O-rings, self-adhesive rubber feet and gaskets. The top has a 0.75 mm deep recess for labels or a membrane keypad.
