The 1457N1602 combines the 160 mm 1457N extruded aluminum body with flanged end panels, giving a wall-mountable, watertight enclosure for PC boards and interface electronics. Nominal size is 6.3 in x 4.09 in x 2.15 in (160 mm x 104 mm x 55 mm), and it is designed to meet IP65.
Construction pairs a one-piece aluminum 6063 extrusion, clear anodized finished, with Type 380 diecast aluminum end panels in black powder paint. The body wall has a 0.06" (1.5 mm) minimum thickness, and the end panels seal with full perimeter self-adhesive gaskets.
Per the drawing, overall length is 192.15 mm (7.565 in) across the mounting flanges and 172.15 mm across the end panels, with an inside face-to-face length of 160.00 ± 0.50 mm. Boards up to 159 mm x 99 mm (part page) slide horizontally into slots extruded into the body.
Included in the assembly: the box, flanged end panels, #6 Taptight screws with O-rings, self-adhesive rubber feet and gaskets. Screws are black zinc plated to ASTM B633-13 (Type II, SC3), and the recommended torque is 5 lbf/in. A 0.75 mm (0.030") recess on the body is sized for labels or keypads.
