The 1457CEPF is a replacement EMI/RFI end panel and gasket kit for Hammond 1457C extruded aluminum enclosures in the 1457-EMI Series, supplied as a 2-pack. It is intended for engineers and technicians who need to replace, modify or re-machine the ends of a shielded 1457C enclosure without replacing the whole body.
The panels are die-cast aluminum alloy in black. In the 1457-EMI Series, the end panels are described as rugged yet easy to machine, painted in a durable black satin powder paint, and sealed with full-perimeter conductive foam/fabric gaskets made of Ni/Cu (nickel/copper) with CPSA (conductive pressure sensitive adhesive). That conductive seal is what continues the enclosure's EMI/RFI shielding across the joint between body and panel.
These panels have integrated mounting flanges, giving a 1457C EMI enclosure a way to be screwed down to a wall, panel or chassis. They replace the ends on flanged 1457C EMI enclosures such as the 1457C802E, or convert a flat-ended unit to a flanged one. The flat version is 1457CEP.
The 2-pack provides a panel for each end of one enclosure and ships at 0.07 lbs (0.03 kg). A 10-pack is available as 1457CEPF-10.
