The 1457CEG-10 is a 10-pack of EMI/RFI replacement gaskets for Hammond 1457C extruded aluminum enclosures. It is for technicians and production teams maintaining shielded 1457C units who need fresh gaskets after an end panel has been removed, re-machined or replaced.
In the 1457-EMI Series, the end panel gaskets are full-perimeter conductive foam/fabric gaskets made of Ni/Cu (nickel/copper) with CPSA (conductive pressure sensitive adhesive). They sit between the diecast end panel and the extruded body, carrying the shield across that joint. The series literature notes these EMI gaskets are not water-tight.
The part drawing shows a 60.00 x 40.00 mm [2.362 x 1.575 in] outline with 4 x R4.00 mm corner radii and 2 x Ø2.50 mm holes, plus internal dimensions of 50.32 mm, 45.72 mm, 31.93 mm, 23.62 mm and 15.96 mm. A 1.57 mm [0.062 in] dimension and a 0.75 mm [0.030 in] typical dimension are also given.
