Hammond 1455T1201BK 120 x 165 mm Black Anodized Aluminum Enclosure

The 1455T1201BK is the black anodized member of the 1455T 120 mm family: an extruded aluminum enclosure measuring 120.00 mm long, 165.00 mm wide and 51.50 mm deep in the series table. It is designed to house PC boards or for equipment interfacing, a good fit for OEM designers and system builders who want a dark, low-key finish on a small instrument or controller.

The extruded body has a minimum thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm). According to its drawing the extrusion is designed for a 160 mm wide PC board, which slides horizontally into slots extruded into the body; the internal width is 160.48 ± 1.20 mm and internal height 46.98 ± 0.61 mm. It appears in the table of enclosures with a sliding plate.

As a metal end plate version it comes with two flat aluminum end panels colour matched to the housing and two black open plastic bezels. Four adhesive rubber feet are included, along with #6 x 3/8" thread rolling steel end panel screws (#4 flat head phillips drive); black anodized versions include black screws. Tighten to the recommended 5 lbf-in. With end plates fitted, the drawing gives 169.50 mm [6.673 in] overall width and 55.63 mm [2.190 in] overall height.
