Hammond 1455K801 80x78x43mm Clear Aluminum Enclosure, Metal Ends

1455K801 is a clear anodized extruded aluminum enclosure with metal end panels from the Hammond 1455 series, measuring 80 x 78 x 43 mm (3.15 x 3.07 x 1.69 in). It is designed to house PC boards or for equipment interfacing, making it a fit for electronics designers, OEM engineers and integrators building compact instruments, interface modules and controllers.

The rugged body is extruded aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm) and an anodized finish. PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body; the drawing notes the extrusion is designed for a 75 mm wide PC board. This size is listed in the Enclosures With Sliding Plate table, so it includes a removable sliding plate.

Per the drawing, the extrusion is 78.00 mm [3.071 in] wide and 43.02 mm [1.694 in] high, with a length of 80.00 ± 0.51 mm [3.150 ± 0.020 in]. Each aluminum end plate measures 77.98 mm x 42.93 mm and 1.50 mm thick with four 0.165 in thru holes countersunk 0.230 in x 82°, and the open bezel measures 81.13 x 46.13 mm with a 9.00 mm depth. It includes two flat aluminum end panels colour-matched to the clear housing, two open plastic bezels in black, four adhesive rubber feet, and #6 x 3/8" thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head Phillips drive in a natural finish. Recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in. Replacement rubber feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24); replacement screws are 1455MS100 (natural) and 1455MS100BK (black), 100 per pack.
