Hammond 1455K1602BK 160x78x43mm Black Aluminum Enclosure, Plastic Ends

The 1455K1602BK is a black anodized extruded aluminum enclosure with black plastic end panels, measuring 160 x 78 x 43 mm. It houses PC boards up to 159 x 74 mm for equipment interfacing and control electronics where a uniform black look is wanted.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), finished in black anodized aluminum. It measures 6.3 in x 3.07 in x 1.69 in (160 mm x 78 mm x 43 mm), with the drawing showing a 160.00 ±0.50 mm length, 78.00 mm extrusion width and 43.02 mm height. Printed circuit boards up to 159 mm long and 74 mm wide mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body, and the enclosure includes a removable sliding plate.

Each enclosure includes two closed black plastic end panels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive in a black finish. Tighten end panel screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws are 1455MS100BK (quantity 100).

Rated IP54 and RoHS and REACH compliant, it ships in shrink wrap at 0.51 lbs (0.23 kg). The black version with aluminum end panels is 1455K1601BK. Hammond offers factory modification (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in STEP or IGES.
