Hammond 1455A802RD 80x70x12mm Red Anodized Extruded Aluminum Enclosure

The 1455A802RD is a red anodized extruded aluminum enclosure with plastic end panels from the 1455 Series, measuring 3.15 in x 2.76 in x 0.47 in (80 mm x 70 mm x 12 mm). Designed to house PC boards or for equipment interfacing, it suits electronics designers, OEM engineers and hobbyists building slim, low-profile devices. This red anodized version of the 80 mm-long A-size enclosure stands out visually for test gear or status devices and is supplied with black end-panel screws.

The box is made from extruded aluminum 6063, with the series specifying a minimum body thickness of 0.06" (1.5 mm), and the bezels are made from polycarbonate. PC boards mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the enclosure body. The extrusion is designed for 60 mm wide x 80 mm long PC boards, with a maximum board size of 79 mm long by 59.5 mm wide. This A-size model is listed among the enclosures without a sliding plate.

The purchased assembly includes the box, plastic bezels, #6 Taptight screws and self-adhesive rubber feet. Recommended screw torque is 5 lbf-in.
