The 1447SA8HK is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount disconnect enclosure with a continuous hinge door, a multi-vendor flange cutout and a pad lock defeater handle mechanism. It is designed to house flange-mounted safety disconnect equipment, making it a fit for electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers building disconnect switch or circuit breaker assemblies for areas that call for Type 4 protection.
The body is formed 14-gauge steel with continuously welded seams, welded mounting brackets, a formed lip on the enclosure to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The pad lock defeater handle mechanism is provided along with latching rods and interlock brackets, and cutouts and holes suit the flange handle operating mechanism. The door and enclosure are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coat inside and out, and the removable 12-gauge inner panel is finished in white powder coat.
