Hammond 1447SC8HK 24x25.38x8 In Type 4 Wallmount Disconnect Enclosure

The 1447SC8HK is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount disconnect enclosure from the 1447S HK Series, built with a continuous hinge door, a flange with multi-vendor cutout and a padlock defeater handle. It suits panel builders and electricians housing a flange-mounted disconnect switch or circuit breaker mechanism in a 24 x 25-3/8 x 8 in wall-mounted housing.

The enclosure measures 24.00 in high, 25.38 in wide and 8.00 in deep (610 mm x 645 mm x 203 mm). Inside, a removable 12 gauge inner panel of 21.00 in (H) by 21.00 in (D, as listed in the ordering table) mounts on the collar studs provided. The part drawing shows a door opening of 21.25 x 21.25 in (W x H) and a usable depth of 7.70 in. At 8 in deep it is the shallowest depth offered in the series; the same 24 x 25-3/8 in face is also offered as 1447SC10HK (10 in deep).

The body is formed 14-gauge steel with continuously welded seams, a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Cover and enclosure are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coat inside and out, and the inner panel is finished in white powder coat. The door can be removed by pulling the hinge pin, and the defeater handle comes with latching rods and interlock brackets. A door bonding stud and enclosure grounding stud are provided.

Cutouts suit flange-mounted variable depth mechanisms from ABB, Allen Bradley, C-H Westinghouse, GE, Siemens I-T-E and Square D Class 9422 (not Square D bracket-mounted or 9422TG1/TG2 devices). Disconnects and operating mechanisms are ordered separately. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with 0.44 in diameter mounting holes.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 4, 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66 when appropriate components are used. The 1447SC8HK carries UL File E65324 and CSA Certificate LR21001, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships boxed at 76 lbs (34.47 kg).
