The 1444-33 is a 17 in x 10 in x 4 in (432 mm x 254 mm x 102 mm) aluminum chassis, the 4 in high member of the 17 in x 10 in family that also includes the 2 in 1444-30 and 3 in 1444-32. Four inches of height gives substantial under-chassis volume for tube amplifiers, power supplies and full-size audio equipment.
It is spot welded, heavy duty construction in 0.051 in aluminum (0.05 in / 1 mm per the ordering table). The part page lists the colour as natural aluminum; the drawing's part list describes it as an unfinished chassis. The protective covering on the aluminum can be used as a layout tool, per the series photo notes.
The drawing gives inner box dimensions of 429.21 mm [16.90 in] long, 251.41 mm [9.90 in] wide and 99.01 mm [3.90 in] high. Shipping weight is 1.96 lbs (0.89 kg).
A walnut-sided version is available as 1444-33CWW. For the 1444-33, all components are sold separately: bottom plate 1434-30 (0.051 in aluminum, punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter) and cover screws 1421J6 (package of six 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws). The 1451 series steel chassis covers are not compatible.
The 1444-33 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in shrink wrap. Factory modification (milling, drilling, printing) is available, along with STEP or IGES solid models.
