Hammond 1441-33 17x10x4 in Gray Steel Chassis, 20 Gauge

The 1441-33 is a spot welded steel chassis from the 1441 Series, finished in ASA 61 smooth grey powder paint. At 17 in wide, 10 in deep and 4 in high (432 x 254 x 102 mm), it is the tallest of the 17 x 10 in footprints in the series, giving builders of tube, vintage-style and other electronic projects a heavy duty metal base with generous internal height.

The chassis is formed from 20 gauge steel; the drawing specifies 0.036 in (0.91 mm) material for both the chassis and the matching bottom plate. Inside, the drawing shows an inner box length of 429.97 mm [16.93 in], an inner box width of 252.17 mm [9.93 in] and an inner box height of 99.77 mm [3.93 in], with an assembled height of 102.51 mm [4.04 in] once a bottom plate is fitted.

All components are sold separately. Compatible accessories for this size are:

• 1431-30 gray or 1431-30BK3 satin black bottom panel
• 1451-30 gray or 1451-30BK3 satin black perforated chassis cover
• 1421J6 natural finish or 1421J6BK black cover screws, 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping, package of 6

The chassis includes 1/8 in holes that allow installation of an optional bottom plate, which is punched with four 3/16 in diameter holes. Hardware and rubber feet are not provided. Chassis of this series can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) on request, and solid models are available in STEP or IGES format.

The 1441-33 is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped and has a shipping weight of 4.3 lbs (1.95 kg). A satin black version, 1441-33BK3, and a satin black version with walnut sides, 1441-33BK3CWW, are offered in the same size.
