Hammond 1437SSD 4-Hole 30.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1437SSD is a four-hole, extra deep pushbutton enclosure in 304 stainless steel for 30.5mm operators. Part of the 1437SS Series, it is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and keeps them protected from dirt, dust, oil and water, giving panel builders a tall, narrow station for four control functions.

The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural stainless steel finish with a smooth brushed look. Captive cover screws fasten into threaded, sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. The series describes internally hinged removable covers on larger enclosures, designed to hold the cover open during wiring; only the 1-hole size is footnoted as not hinged.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X, and complies with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 when appropriate components are used. The 1437SSD is covered by UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships boxed at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
