Hammond 1437SSC 3-Hole 30.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

Three 30.5mm operators fit in the 1437SSC, an extra deep 304 stainless steel pushbutton enclosure from the 1437SS Series. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and gives them protection from dirt, dust, oil and water, suiting start/stop/jog stations and similar three-device controls.

The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural stainless steel finish with a smooth brushed surface. The cover is fastened with captive screws that thread into sealed wells and is sealed by an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. There is a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. According to the series notes, larger enclosures have internally hinged removable covers that hold open during wiring; only the 1-hole size is footnoted as not hinged.

The enclosure is 8 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (203 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm). Drawing dimensions: 9.00 in overall height, 8.37 in by 4.37 in door, 4.91 in overall depth, and Ø1.21 in holes on 2.25 in centres. Welded brackets carry Ø0.25 in mounting holes on 3.13 in x 8.50 in centres. The 1437SSC ships boxed at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

The series holds UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X ratings and complies with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 when appropriate components are fitted. UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001 apply; the part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
