Hammond 1437SSB 2-Hole 30.5mm 304 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1437SSB gives you two 30.5mm openings in an extra deep 304 stainless steel enclosure from the 1437SS Series. It is designed for standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and provides protection from dirt, dust, oil and water, a common choice for start/stop pairs on pumps, fans and conveyors.

It is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and finished in natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed surface. Captive cover screws fasten into threaded, sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. A bonding stud is on the door and a grounding stud is on the enclosure. The series notes that its larger enclosures use internally hinged removable covers that hold open during wiring, with only the 1-hole size footnoted as not hinged.

Nominal dimensions are 6 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (152 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm). The drawing shows a 6.75 in overall height, a 6.37 in by 4.37 in door, a 4.91 in overall depth and Ø1.21 in holes on 2.25 in centres. Welded brackets carry Ø0.25 in mounting holes on 3.13 in x 6.25 in centres. The 1437SSB ships in a box at 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

Series ratings are UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X, complying with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 when appropriate components are used. UL file E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001 apply, and the part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
