Hammond 1435MS16O 12-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MS16O is a twelve-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators in 316 stainless steel and the largest 22.5mm, 316 stainless size in the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. It accepts standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, and is aimed at integrators who need a large operator station for lines that are hosed down or that operate where highly corrosive conditions exist.

Construction is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. The 1435MS16O has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The enclosure measures 11.75 in x 8.50 in x 3.00 in (298 mm x 216 mm x 76 mm). The drawing shows twelve 0.89 in diameter pushbutton holes at a typical 2.25 in spacing, a door opening height of 10.62 in, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 12.25 in x 7.63 in centres, for an overall height of 12.75 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
