Hammond 1435MS16H 6-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MS16H is a six-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators in 316 stainless steel, part of the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. Its wider 6.25 in body holds six standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, giving process engineers and integrators room for a fuller set of controls on equipment that is washed down or sits where highly corrosive conditions exist. The internally hinged cover also makes it easier to wire than the smaller, unhinged sizes.

Construction is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. The 1435MS16H has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The enclosure measures 9.50 in x 6.25 in x 3.00 in (241 mm x 159 mm x 76 mm). The drawing shows six 0.89 in diameter pushbutton holes at a typical 2.25 in spacing, a door opening height of 8.37 in, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 10.00 in x 5.38 in centres, for an overall height of 10.50 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
