The 1434-1713 is the bottom plate for the 17 in wide, 13 in deep models of the 1444 Series aluminum chassis. It is a flat natural-aluminum panel that closes off the open underside of the chassis, giving a finished, enclosed box for amplifier, audio and other electronics builds that start from a bent aluminum chassis.
One plate serves four chassis heights. The ordering table pairs 1434-1713 with the 1444-17132 (2.00 in / 51 mm high), 1444-17133 (3.00 in / 76 mm), 1444-17134 (4.00 in / 102 mm) and 1444-17135 (5.00 in / 127 mm), all of which share the same 17.00 in (432 mm) width and 13.00 in (330 mm) depth, so the same cover fits whichever height you choose.
The plate measures 17 in x 13 in x 0.05 in (432 mm x 330 mm x 1 mm), matching the 0.05 in (1 mm) aluminum thickness listed for those chassis. Material is aluminum in a natural aluminum colour. Series notes state that the optional bottom plates are punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter.
Mounting hardware is not supplied with the plate. The series specification calls for part number 1421J6, a package of six 6-32 Phillips head screws, ordered separately. Note that the 1451 series steel chassis covers are not compatible with this series.
