The 1434-1715 bottom plate encloses the underside of the 17 in x 15 in footprint chassis in the 1444 Series. It suits anyone building tube amplifiers, audio equipment or other electronics on an aluminum chassis who wants a closed base.
Two chassis share this plate. The 1444-17154 is 4.00 in (102 mm) high and the 1444-17156 is 6.00 in (152 mm) high; both are 17.00 in (432 mm) wide and 15.00 in (381 mm) deep with 0.05 in (1 mm) aluminum, so the same 1434-1715 covers either one.
The plate is aluminum in a natural aluminum colour and measures 17 in x 15 in x 0.05 in (432 mm x 381 mm x 1 mm). According to the series specification, the optional bottom plates are punched with 4 holes, each 3/16 in in diameter.
Hardware must be ordered separately: the series lists part number 1421J6, a package of six 6-32 Phillips head screws, for the bottom plate. The 1451 series steel chassis covers are not compatible with the 1444 Series.
