The 1431-30 is the ASA 61 smooth grey bottom plate for the 17 in x 10 in footprint of the 1441 Series steel chassis. It is one of the most widely shared plates in the series: the ordering table lists it for three chassis heights, 2 in (1441-30), 3 in (1441-32) and 4 in (1441-33), so one stocked part covers several full-width builds.
The plate is 17 in x 10 in x 0.04 in (432 mm x 254 mm x 1 mm), and the drawing notes it is made of 0.036 in steel. Its finish is ASA 61 smooth grey powder paint. Series bottom plates are punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter, and the chassis includes 1/8 in holes to allow installation.
