For the 16 in x 8 in size of the 1441 Series steel chassis, the 1431-26BK3 is the satin black bottom plate. It closes the underside of the 1441-26BK3 and 1441-28BK3 satin black chassis (and the grey 1441-26 and 1441-28), giving a larger chassis a uniform black base.
Size is 16 in x 8 in x 0.04 in (406 mm x 203 mm x 1 mm), and per the drawing the plate is formed from 0.036 in steel with a satin black powder paint finish. It is punched with 4 holes of 3/16 in diameter, and the chassis includes 1/8 in holes to allow the plate to be installed.
Two chassis heights share this plate: 2.00 in (51 mm) for the 1441-26 family and 3.00 in (76 mm) for the 1441-28 family, both 16.00 in (406 mm) wide and 8.00 in (203 mm) deep in 20 gauge steel. On the 1441-26 drawing, the assembled inner box measures 404.57 mm [15.93 in] long, 201.37 mm [7.93 in] wide and 48.97 mm [1.93 in] high. The 1451-26BK3 satin black perforated cover is listed for the top of this size.
No screws are supplied; the drawing lists 1421J6BK black and 1421J6 natural finish cover screws, six 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws per package. The 1431-26BK3 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag at 1.26 lbs (0.57 kg). Its grey counterpart is 1431-26.
