Built for the 13.5 in x 5 in size of the 1441 Series, the 1431-18BK3 is a satin black steel bottom plate that closes the underside of a 1441-18BK3 black chassis (or the grey 1441-18). With a black chassis, a black base keeps the look consistent.
Dimensions are 13.5 in x 5 in x 0.04 in (343 mm x 127 mm x 1 mm). The drawing specifies 0.036 in steel for the bottom plate, and the finish is satin black powder paint. The plate is punched with 4 holes, each 3/16 in diameter, and the chassis now includes 1/8 in holes to accept it.
