Hammond 1427U3BK 4.5" Black Steel Chassis Handle, 1.50" Deep, 10-32

The 1427U3BK is a round steel chassis handle with 4.50 in (114 mm) mounting hole centers and an E-Black Coating finish. It is a single pull handle for equipment chassis, front panels and drawers, suited to OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who need a steel handle on chassis, panel or drawer hardware. It is sold individually and ships as a kit with its mounting hardware.

The handle is formed from round CR steel with a 0.31 in (8 mm) diameter and carries the E-Black Coating finish. It is the black-finished counterpart of the chrome 1427U3, with the same 4.50 in centers, 1.50 in depth, 0.31 in rod and 10-32 thread.

Per the series table the handle has 4.50 in (114 mm) mounting hole centers, a 1.50 in (38 mm) handle depth and is listed against an 8.75 in (222 mm) panel height. The part page gives an overall size of 1.5 in x 4.81 in x 0.31 in (38 mm x 122 mm x 8 mm) (H x W x D), and the drawing shows an overall length of 122.25 mm [4.813 in]. Shipping weight is 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg).

Each end of the handle is tapped 10-32 UNF-2B x 14.27 mm [0.500 in], and the kit includes 2 Panhead 10-32 x 1/2" screws and 2 internal tooth lockwashers, so it fastens from behind the panel through two holes drilled at 4.50 in centers. The 1427U3BK is listed as REACH compliant and RoHS compliant.
