Hammond 1427W 6.0" Chrome Steel Chassis Handle, 1.50" Deep, 8-32

The 1427W is a round steel chassis handle with 6.00 in (152 mm) mounting hole centers and a Bright Chrome Plated finish. It is a single pull handle for equipment chassis, front panels and drawers, suited to OEM engineers, panel builders and integrators who need a steel handle on chassis, panel or drawer hardware. It is sold individually and ships as a kit with its mounting hardware.

The handle is formed from round CR steel with a 0.25 in (6 mm) diameter and carries the Bright Chrome Plated finish. Within the 6.00 in family, the 1427W is the 1.50 in-deep, 0.25 in rod, 8-32 version; the 1427W2 is deeper and the 1427W3 uses a 0.31 in rod.

Per the series table the handle has 6.00 in (152 mm) mounting hole centers, a 1.50 in (38 mm) handle depth and is listed against a 12.25 in (311 mm) panel height. The part page gives an overall size of 1.5 in x 6.25 in x 0.25 in (38 mm x 159 mm x 6 mm) (H x W x D), and the drawing shows an overall length of 158.75 mm [6.250 in]. Shipping weight is 0.14 lbs (0.06 kg).

Each end of the handle is tapped 8-32 UNC-2B x 14.27 mm [0.500 in], and the kit includes 2 Panhead 8-32 x 1/2" screws and 2 internal tooth lockwashers, so it fastens from behind the panel through two holes drilled at 6.00 in centers. The 1427W is listed as REACH compliant and RoHS compliant.
