Hammond 1427NCGPG7LB PG7 Extra-Long Black Nylon Cordgrip, IP68

The 1427NCGPG7LB is the extra-long version of the black PG7 nylon liquid-tight cordgrip. Its inner thread length (T) is 0.59 in (15 mm), compared with 8 mm on the standard-length PG7, while the outer length stays at 0.83 in (21 mm). It is used where a small cable enters or leaves an enclosure.

The cordgrip is black (RAL 9005) nylon with an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening for a wide range of cable diameters. Strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, giving strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

It requires a 0.51 in (13 mm) mounting hole and accepts cable from a 0.12 in (3 mm) minimum. Note the maximum: the extra-long ordering table lists 0.28 in (7 mm), but the part drawing for the 1427NCGPG7LB shows 3.5 mm, so confirm the fit for your cable before ordering. Guide torque for PG7 is 0.8–1.5 N-m on the sealing nut and 1–2 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

Protection is IP68, and the part is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Static operating temperature is -40°C to 100°C (up to 120° instantaneous); dynamic is -20°C to 80°C (up to 100° instantaneous).
