Hammond 1427NCGPG7B PG7 Black Nylon Liquid-Tight Cordgrip, IP68

The 1427NCGPG7B is the smallest PG-thread cordgrip in the 1427NCG nylon series: a black liquid-tight cable gland with a PG7 thread, for small cables entering or leaving an enclosure. It accepts cables starting at 3 mm in diameter.

The body is black (RAL 9005) nylon with an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal and a large opening that accepts a wide range of cable diameters. Strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, giving strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

This standard-length PG7 gland uses a 0.51 in (13 mm) mounting hole, has an outer length (L) of 0.83 in (21 mm) and an inner thread length (T) of 0.31 in (8 mm). Minimum wire diameter is 0.12 in (3 mm). For the maximum, the series ordering table lists 0.28 in (7 mm) while the part drawing for the 1427NCGPG7B shows 6.5 mm, so check your cable against the lower figure if it sits near the top. Guide torque for PG7 is 0.8–1.5 N-m on the sealing nut and 1–2 N-m on the locknut.

The cordgrip provides IP68 protection, is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating temperatures are -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous).
