Hammond 1427NCGPG16B 14 mm PG16 Black Nylon Liquid-Tight Cordgrip, 10

The 1427NCGPG16B is a black nylon liquid-tight cordgrip with a PG16 thread, clamping cable from 10 mm to 14 mm in diameter. It is used where cable enters or leaves an enclosure and needs a sealed entry with strain relief.

Its black (RAL 9005) nylon body carries an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening that accepts a wide range of cable diameters. The strain relief elements close in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable without twisting or damaging it. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

The standard-length 1427NCGPG16B requires a 0.91 in (23 mm) mounting hole. Outer length (L) is 1.10 in (28 mm), inner thread length (T) is 0.39 in (10 mm), and wire diameter spans 0.39 in (10 mm) to 0.55 in (14 mm). Guide torque for PG16 is 4–5 N-m on the sealing nut and 4–6 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

Protection is IP68, and the part is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating temperatures are -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous). Shipping weight is 0.04 lbs (0.02 kg).
