Hammond 1427NCGPG11LB 10 mm PG11 Extra-Long Black Nylon Cordgrip, 5

The 1427NCGPG11LB is the extra-long black PG11 nylon liquid-tight cordgrip, listed in the series' PG Threads (Extra Long) table. Compared with the standard PG11, its inner thread length (T) grows from 8 mm to 0.59 in (15 mm), while the 5–10 mm cable range, 19 mm mounting hole and 25 mm outer length stay the same. It is used where cable enters or leaves an enclosure.

The body is black (RAL 9005) nylon with an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal and a large opening that accepts a wide range of cable diameters. Its strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable without twisting or damaging it. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

Mounting requires a 0.75 in (19 mm) hole. The 1427NCGPG11LB has an outer length (L) of 0.98 in (25 mm) and accepts wire diameters from 0.20 in (5 mm) to 0.39 in (10 mm). Guide torque for PG11 is 1.5–2.5 N-m on the sealing nut and 1.5–2.5 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

It provides IP68 protection and is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Static operating temperature is -40°C to 100°C (up to 120° instantaneous); dynamic is -20°C to 80°C (up to 100° instantaneous). Shipping weight is 0.03 lbs (0.01 kg).
