Hammond 1427NCGPG11B 10 mm PG11 Black Nylon Liquid-Tight Cordgrip, 5

The 1427NCGPG11B is a black nylon liquid-tight cordgrip with a PG11 thread, clamping cable from 5 mm to 10 mm in diameter. It is used where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure and must be sealed and strain-relieved.

It is built from black (RAL 9005) nylon with an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal. The large opening accepts a wide range of cable diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, providing strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

The standard-length 1427NCGPG11B mounts in a 0.75 in (19 mm) hole. Outer length (L) is 0.98 in (25 mm), inner thread length (T) is 0.31 in (8 mm), and wire diameter runs from 0.20 in (5 mm) to 0.39 in (10 mm). For PG11 the guide torque is 1.5–2.5 N-m on both the sealing nut and the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

Protection is IP68, and the cordgrip is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating temperatures are -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous). Shipping weight is 0.02 lbs (0.01 kg).
