Hammond 1427NCGM63B 44 mm Cable M63x1.5 Black Nylon Cordgrip, 37

The 1427NCGM63B is the largest metric size in the 1427NCG nylon cordgrip series: a black liquid-tight cable gland with an M63x1.5 thread that clamps cable from 37 mm to 44 mm in diameter. It is used where a large cable enters or leaves an enclosure and must be sealed and strain-relieved.

The black (RAL 9005) nylon body houses an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening, accommodating a wide range of cable diameters. Its strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring for strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

The 1427NCGM63B requires a 2.48 in (63 mm) mounting hole. Outer length (L) is 1.93 in (49 mm), inner thread length (T) is 0.55 in (14 mm), and the wire diameter range is 1.46 in (37 mm) to 1.73 in (44 mm). Guide torque for M63 is 12–15 N-m on the sealing nut and 9–12 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

It provides IP68 protection and is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating temperatures are -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous). Shipping weight is 0.26 lbs (0.12 kg).
