Hammond 1427BCGM50 38 mm Cable, IP68 M50x1.5 Brass Cordgrip for 32

The 1427BCGM50 is a nickel plated brass liquid-tight cordgrip with an M50x1.5 metric thread, built for the point where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure. It suits electricians, integrators and OEM engineers who need to seal heavy cables into metric-drilled panels.

This size is intended for cable between 32 mm (1.26 in) and 38 mm (1.50 in) in diameter. The large opening and NBR (nitrile rubber) seal accept a wide range of diameters, and the strain relief elements close in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable without twisting or damaging it. Select the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that fits your cable.

The 1427BCGM50 mounts in a 50 mm (1.97 in) hole, has an outer length (L) of 37 mm (1.46 in) and an inner thread length (T) of 9 mm (0.35 in). The locknut and EPDM o-ring are included. Guide torque values for M50 are 20–24 N-m on the sealing nut and 17–20 N-m on the locknut, though actual values can vary depending on the application.

The 1427BCG series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with IP68 protection and is UL listed. Working temperature is -40C to +100C with temporary heat resistance up to 120C. This part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships bagged at 0.63 lbs (0.29 kg).
