Hammond 1427BCGM20 M20x1.5 Nickel Plated Brass Cordgrip, 6-12 mm Cable

The 1427BCGM20 is a liquid-tight cordgrip (cable gland) made from nickel plated brass with a metric M20x1.5 thread, used where cable enters or leaves an enclosure. It is built for electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers who need a sealed, strain-relieved cable entry. With an M20x1.5 thread it handles cables from 6 to 12 mm, a broad clamping range for a single size; the 1427BCGM20L variant covers 10 to 14 mm on the same thread.

An NBR (nitrile rubber) seal and a large opening let the gland accept a wide range of cable diameters. Its strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable without twisting or damaging it. A locknut and an EPDM o-ring are included. The series advises choosing the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that will fit your cable.

The 1427BCGM20 is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with protection to IP68, and is UL listed. Working temperature is -40C to +100C, with temporary heat resistance up to 120C.
