Hammond 1427BCGM16L M16x1.5 Nickel Plated Brass Cordgrip, 5-10 mm Cable

The 1427BCGM16L is a liquid-tight cordgrip (cable gland) made from nickel plated brass with a metric M16x1.5 thread, used where cable enters or leaves an enclosure. It is built for electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers who need a sealed, strain-relieved cable entry. It keeps the M16x1.5 thread and 16 mm mounting hole of the 1427BCGM16 but accepts larger cables, from 5 to 10 mm, with a 22 mm outer length.

An NBR (nitrile rubber) seal and a large opening let the gland accept a wide range of cable diameters. Its strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable without twisting or damaging it. A locknut and an EPDM o-ring are included. The series advises choosing the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that will fit your cable.

The 1427BCGM16L is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with protection to IP68, and is UL listed. Working temperature is -40C to +100C, with temporary heat resistance up to 120C. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag at 0.06 lbs (0.03 kg). The torque values are a guide; actual values can vary with the application.
