The 1426M is an 8 in wide x 6 in deep x 4 in high (203 x 152 x 102 mm) metal instrument enclosure with a beige (off white) steel shell and a satin black front panel. The extra width over the 6 in 1426K gives more front-panel space for meters, knobs and connectors on a benchtop instrument or controller.
The top and bottom are 20 gauge steel for strength, finished in beige powder coat. The front and rear panels are easy-to-machine 0.064 in thick aluminum: the front panel is satin black and the rear panel matches the beige (off white) case color. The rear panel and the bottom of the enclosure are vented.
Each 1426M includes four 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping Phillips nickel plated screws and four self-adhesive rubber feet. Replacement screws are available as 1421J6 (pack of six 6-32 Philips head screws) and replacement rubber feet as 1421T9.
Listed dimensions are width 8.00 in (203 mm), depth 6.00 in (152 mm) and height 4.00 in (102 mm). The enclosure ships shrink wrapped at 2.4 lbs (1.09 kg), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing) on quotation, with STEP or IGES solid models available.
