Hammond 1422F12F 72x72x12 Type 12 Two-Door Floormount Enclosure

The 1422F12F takes the 72 x 72 x 12 body of the 1422 FM Series and adds 12 in floor stands welded to the enclosure. At 72.13 in high, 72.06 in wide and 12.69 in deep, it gives panel builders a free-standing two-door Type 12 housing with a 68 x 68 in removable inner panel for electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments.

Construction is formed mild steel in combination 10/12 gauge, as specified for the 72 in high enclosures, with smooth continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Body stiffeners add rigidity and heavy duty lifting eyebolts are provided with reinforced support angles. The enclosure is phosphatized and finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The two gasketed overlapping doors eliminate the need for a center post, leaving a door opening of 69.31 in wide by 69.38 in high on the drawing and a usable depth of 12.04 in. Doors are continuously hinged and can be removed by pulling the hinge pin; they are secured by a three point latch operated by a key locking, padlockable handle, and the latch rods have rollers for easier closing. Oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. A removable 10 gauge inner panel measuring 68.00 in (1727 mm) high by 68.00 in (1727 mm) wide is included, finished in white powder coating, with panel supports and collar studs for easy installation.

With its 12 in floor stands welded on, the overall height on the drawing is 84.13 in. The version without feet is 1422F12. The enclosure carries UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 ratings (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, includes a grounding stud for each door, a bonding stud on the door, a literature pocket and provision for a light kit, and ships on a skid at 804 lbs (364.69 kg).
