Hammond 1422F10F 72x72x10 Type 12 Two-Door Floormount Enclosure

The 1422F10F is the floor-standing version of the slim 72 x 72 x 10 size in the 1422 FM Series. Its 72.13 x 72.06 x 10.69 in body comes with 12 in floor stands welded on, so a wide but shallow control enclosure can stand on its own. Electricians and panel shops use it to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where falling dirt, dust, oil and water are present.

Construction is formed mild steel in combination 10/12 gauge, as specified for the 72 in high enclosures, with smooth continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Body stiffeners add rigidity and heavy duty lifting eyebolts are provided with reinforced support angles. The enclosure is phosphatized and finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The two gasketed overlapping doors eliminate the need for a center post, leaving a door opening of 69.31 in wide by 69.38 in high on the drawing and a usable depth of 10.04 in. Doors are continuously hinged and can be removed by pulling the hinge pin; they are secured by a three point latch operated by a key locking, padlockable handle, and the latch rods have rollers for easier closing. Oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The series ordering table lists the removable 10 gauge inner panel at 68.00 in (1727 mm) high by 38.00 in (965 mm) wide, while the part drawing dimensions the inner panel at 68.00 x 68.00 in, so confirm the panel size against the drawing before laying out components.

With its 12 in floor stands welded on, the overall height on the drawing is 84.13 in. The version without feet is 1422F10. The enclosure carries UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 ratings (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, includes a grounding stud for each door, a bonding stud on the door, a literature pocket and provision for a light kit, and ships on a skid at 740 lbs (335.66 kg).
