The 1421NP250 is a bulk 250-piece package of 10-32 rack rail clip nuts, supplied in a resealable plastic jar. Clip nuts (also known as speed nuts, Tinnerman nuts, U nuts or J nuts) snap directly onto non-threaded rack rails to create a 10-32 threaded mounting point, making them a fast alternative to installing individual cage nuts. The pack size suits installers, maintenance departments and OEM production runs that consume mounting hardware in volume.

Each clip nut is formed from heat-treated SAE 1050-1065 spring steel, austempered for consistent spring tension and long-term retention, with a hardness of HRC 38-42. The 1421NP250 carries the zinc plated (CR3) finish; the same clip nut is offered with a black oxide finish as 1421N250. The spring steel body grips rail material from 0.069 to 0.079 inches thick, and the recommended installation torque is 31.4 inch-lbs +/- 20%.

Because the nuts clip on by hand, no special tools are required, which speeds up equipment additions, moves and replacements compared with traditional cage nut installation.
