Hammond 1418Q8 48x24x8 in Narrow Type 12 Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418Q8 is a tall, narrow 48 x 24 x 8 in (1,219 x 610 x 203 mm) Type 12 wallmount enclosure. At 24 in wide it fits wall space where a wider cabinet will not, while the 45 x 21 in removable inner panel still gives a long run for DIN rail, terminals and wire duct.

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel for the body and door, with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and body helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The continuously hinged door can be removed by pulling the hinge pin and is closed with stainless steel clamps, with provision for padlocking.

Inside, the removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 45.00 x 21.00 in (1143 x 533 mm) and mounts on collar studs. Per the drawing, the door opening is 21.20 x 45.20 in and usable depth is 8.01 in. Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes handle wall mounting. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a door literature pocket are provided. The enclosure is finished inside and out in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat; the inner panel is white.

The 1418Q8 is listed under UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54. It is REACH and RoHS compliant. Note that the 1418 Series is being discontinued in favour of the 1418LP Series, so availability is limited to inventory on hand.
