Hammond 1418P8 42x36x8 in Type 12 Wallmount Enclosure, Clamped Door

The 1418P8 is a 42 x 36 x 8 in (1,067 x 914 x 203 mm) Type 12 wallmount enclosure with a continuous hinge door and clamp closure. At 8 in deep it is the slimmest 42 x 36 build in the series, a good match for control panels built on a large 39 x 33 in inner panel where component depth is modest.

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel for the body and door, with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and body helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The continuously hinged door can be removed by pulling the hinge pin and is closed with stainless steel clamps, with provision for padlocking.

Inside, the removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 39.00 x 33.00 in (991 x 838 mm) and mounts on collar studs. Per the drawing, the door opening is 33.20 x 39.20 in and usable depth is 8.03 in. Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes handle wall mounting. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a door literature pocket are provided. The enclosure is finished inside and out in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat; the inner panel is white.

The 1418P8 is listed under UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54. It is REACH and RoHS compliant. Note that the 1418 Series is being discontinued in favour of the 1418LP Series, so availability is limited to inventory on hand.
