Hammond 1418N4X24QT 72x31x24 in Quarter Turn Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418N4X24QT is a Type 4 mild steel freestanding enclosure from the 1418 N4 FS QT Series, measuring 72.06 in x 31.06 in x 24.06 in (1,830 mm x 789 mm x 611 mm). It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls, with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment, and protects equipment where it may be hosed down or otherwise be very wet. The X24QT pairs a 31.06 in width with a 24.06 in depth, the middle width in the 1418 N4 FS QT Series.

Construction is formed 12 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door is supported on a heavy gauge continuous hinge and secured with quarter turn latches, sealing against a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Lifting eyes make the enclosure easier to handle, and there is provision for mounting a light kit.

Mounting channels are welded inside the enclosure to accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails. The matching optional full height/full width panel is part number 72XFW; depth panels and half height/width panels are also available, as are swing out frames. Panels are offered in white powder coat or unpainted galvanized steel. The drawing shows a door opening width of 27.31 in on a 28.38 in wide door. A grounding stud is provided in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door.

The cabinet is finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat. The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 3 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4X24QT is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships on a skid at 350 lbs (158.76 kg).
