The 1418N4SST16 is the largest enclosure in the 1418 N4 SS ordering table: a 60 x 36 x 16 in (1,524 x 914 x 406 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. Combining the tallest 60 in height with the deepest 16 in body, it provides a 57 x 33 in inner panel and 16.17 in of usable depth (per the drawing) for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring in hose-down, very wet or corrosive locations.
The body is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes, and the part drawing shows a door stiffener for extra rigidity. A stainless steel continuous hinge carries the door and releases it when the hinge pin is pulled. Stainless steel clamps close the door onto a seamless poured-in place gasket, formed lips exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and padlocking is provided for.
The included removable 12 gauge inner panel is 57 x 33 in (1,448 x 838 mm), white powder coated and mounted on collar studs. The door opening on the drawing is 33.26 in wide by 57.25 in high. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket for the inside of the door are provided.
The series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part lists UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
Finish is natural brushed stainless steel. The 1418N4SST16 ships boxed at 280 lbs (127.01 kg); the 316 stainless version is 1418N4S16T16.
