Hammond 1418N4SST12 60x36x12 In Tall Type 4X Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SST12 is one of the tallest sizes in the 1418 N4 SS series: a 60 x 36 x 12 in (1,524 x 914 x 305 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. Its 57 x 33 in inner panel supports long control layouts for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring in locations that may be hosed down, very wet or corrosive.

Every 1418 N4 SS enclosure is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The part drawing shows a door stiffener, which the series provides on larger enclosures for extra rigidity. The door is hung on a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling the hinge pin, and stainless steel clamps close it onto a seamless poured-in place gasket. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and there is provision for padlocking.

The removable 12 gauge inner panel is 57 x 33 in (1,448 x 838 mm), finished in white powder coating and mounted on collar studs. The part drawing shows a door opening of 33.26 in wide by 57.25 in high and 12.17 in of usable depth. Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting, and the enclosure includes a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the body and a door literature pocket.

Standards for the series: UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12; CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12; compliance with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part lists UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001 and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Finish is natural brushed stainless steel. The 1418N4SST12 ships boxed at 270 lbs (122.47 kg). The 316 stainless equivalent is 1418N4S16T12.
