The 1418N4SSL8 is a tall, shallow Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel, measuring 36 in high, 24 in wide and 8 in deep (914 x 610 x 203 mm). It belongs to the 1418 N4 SS series, built for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring where equipment may be hosed down, very wet or exposed to serious corrosion.
Construction is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door swings on a stainless steel continuous hinge whose pin pulls out to remove the door, and closes with stainless steel clamps onto a seamless poured-in place gasket. Formed lips on the door and body keep flowing liquids and contaminants out, and a padlocking provision is included.
A removable 12 gauge inner panel, 33 in high by 21 in wide (838 x 533 mm), mounts on collar studs and is powder coated white. The drawing for this part shows a door opening of 21.21 in wide by 33.21 in high and 8.17 in of usable depth, a tall layout area for vertical wiring runs. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, and the enclosure has a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud inside and a door literature pocket.
The 1418 N4 SS series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part carries UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
