Hammond 1418N4SSKR8 24x30x8 In Type 4X 304 Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSKR8 is a Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel from the 1418 N4 SS series, sized 24 in high by 30 in wide by 8 in deep (610 x 762 x 203 mm). Its wider-than-tall format suits instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring runs that spread horizontally, in locations that may be hosed down, very wet or exposed to corrosion.

The body and door are formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A stainless steel continuous hinge carries the door, which lifts off by pulling the hinge pin, and stainless steel clamps secure it against a seamless poured-in place gasket. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and there is provision for padlocking.

Inside, a removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 21 x 27 in (533 x 686 mm) mounts on collar studs and is finished in white powder coating. The part drawing shows a 27.21 in wide by 21.21 in high door opening and 8.17 in of usable depth. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door are included; welded brackets provide for wall mounting.

The 1418 N4 SS series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part carries UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

The cover and enclosure are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish. The 1418N4SSKR8 ships in a box at 89 lbs (40.37 kg); the 316 stainless version of this size is 1418N4S16KR8.
