Hammond 1418N4SSCR6 16x20x6 In Wide 304 Stainless NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1418N4SSCR6 is a landscape-format Type 4X wallmount enclosure: 16 in H x 20 in W x 6 in D (406 x 508 x 152 mm), wider than it is tall. Formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel and part of the 1418 N4 SS Series, it suits wide terminal wiring layouts, instrument enclosures and junction box work where equipment is hosed down, very wet, or exposed to corrosion.

The removable 12 gauge inner panel follows the same orientation at 13.00 in H x 17.00 in W (330 x 432 mm), finished in white powder coat on collar studs. The drawing shows a door opening of 17.21 in wide by 13.21 in high and 6.17 in of usable depth.

Build quality follows the series: smooth, continuously welded seams with no knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on door and body to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants; a seamless poured-in-place gasket; and a stainless steel continuous hinge whose pin can be pulled to remove the door. Stainless steel clamps close the door and there is provision for padlocking. A bonding stud on the door, grounding stud in the enclosure and literature pocket inside the door are provided.

Welded brackets mount the unit to the wall, with 0.44 in holes on 14.00 in x 17.25 in spacing per the drawing. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4SSCR6 ships at 38 lbs (17.24 kg).
