Hammond 1418N4S16T12 60x36x12 In 316 Stainless Type 4X Wallmount Enclosure

At 60 in H x 36 in W x 12 in D (1,524 x 914 x 305 mm), the 1418N4S16T12 is one of the two tallest sizes in the 1418 N4 SS Series. It is a Type 4X wallmount enclosure in formed 14 gauge 316 stainless steel, suited to large instrument, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings and terminal wiring enclosures in areas that are hosed down, persistently wet, or corrosive.

The included removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 57.00 in x 33.00 in (1,448 x 838 mm), giving a tall mounting field for components. It is finished in white powder coat and mounts on collar studs. The drawing lists a door opening of 33.26 in x 57.25 in and 12.17 in of usable depth, and shows a door stiffener.

Seams are smooth and continuously welded with no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, while a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The stainless steel continuous hinge can be removed by pulling its pin, the door is secured with stainless steel clamps, and there is provision for padlocking. The door has a bonding stud and literature pocket, and the enclosure has a grounding stud.

For installation, welded brackets carry 0.44 in mounting holes on 30.00 in x 61.25 in spacing, and the drawing gives an overall height of 62.25 in. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4S16T12 ships boxed at 270 lbs (122.47 kg).
