Hammond 1418N4S16S12 48x36x12 In 316 SS Nema 4X Wallmount Enclosure

Sized at 48 in H x 36 in W x 12 in D (1,219 x 914 x 305 mm), the 1418N4S16S12 offers a 12 in deep wallmount housing in formed 14 gauge 316 stainless steel for control and instrumentation builds that must hold up to hose-down cleaning, heavy wetting or corrosive atmospheres. It is part of the 1418 N4 SS Series of Type 4X wallmount enclosures with a continuous hinge door and clamps.

Construction starts with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on the door and enclosure helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals against a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Stainless steel clamps secure the door, the continuous stainless hinge can be removed by pulling its pin, and there is provision for padlocking. The drawing shows a door stiffener at this size.

A removable 12 gauge inner panel measuring 45.00 in x 33.00 in (1,143 x 838 mm) comes with the enclosure, finished in white powder coat and fastened to collar studs. Per the drawing, the door opening is 33.26 in x 45.25 in and usable depth is 12.17 in. Grounding is handled by a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the body; a literature pocket sits inside the door.

Welded brackets allow wall mounting with 0.44 in holes on 30.00 in x 49.25 in spacing. The series holds UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 ratings and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4S16S12 ships in a box at 225 lbs (102.06 kg).
