Hammond 1418N4S16S10 48x36x10 In 316 Stainless Type 4X Wall Enclosure

The 1418N4S16S10 is the 10 in deep version of the 48 in x 36 in 316 stainless enclosure in the 1418 N4 SS Series. At 48 in H x 36 in W x 10 in D (1,219 x 914 x 254 mm), it gives panel builders more room behind the door for deeper components while keeping the corrosion resistance of formed 14 gauge 316 stainless steel.

Applications named for the series include instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, particularly where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, or where corrosion is a serious problem. The enclosure is UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66.

Seams are smooth and continuously welded, with no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge with a removable pin, seals against a seamless poured-in-place gasket and is held by stainless steel clamps, with padlocking provision. A formed lip on door and body excludes flowing liquids, and the drawing shows a door stiffener on this size.

A removable 12 gauge inner panel, 45.00 in x 33.00 in (1,143 x 838 mm) in white powder coat, is included on collar studs. The drawing gives a 33.25 in x 45.25 in door opening, 10.17 in usable depth, and 0.44 in wall mounting holes on welded brackets spaced 30.00 in x 49.25 in. A door bonding stud, enclosure grounding stud and literature pocket are provided. The 1418N4S16S10 ships at 215 lbs (97.52 kg).
